Welcome to Community in Focus, a storytelling platform amplifying the voices of nonprofits through documentary filmmaking, community events, and storytelling workshops.
Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully. By accessing or using this website, subscribing to our newsletter, or participating in any of our programs, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Program Participation
Featured nonprofits are selected through a combination of partner referrals and open calls. Participation in a Community in Focus episode is free of charge for selected organizations. We do not offer paid video production services through this platform. For custom media work outside of the program, inquiries may be directed to Visual Outlet Media LLC (contact@thevisualoutlet.com).
2. Intellectual Property
All original content produced by Community in Focus, including videos, photography, written stories, and workshop materials, is protected by copyright. Participating nonprofits are granted a royalty-free license to use their respective media for outreach, fundraising, and educational purposes. Repurposing CIF content for commercial use outside of nonprofit promotion requires written approval.
3. Sponsorships & Partnerships
Partners and sponsors who support an episode, workshop, or event may receive brand visibility and limited usage rights of co-branded assets. These rights will be defined clearly in individual agreements.
4. Privacy & Communications
By subscribing to our newsletter or attending a Community in Focus event, you may receive updates and communications from us. We do not sell or share your personal data. You may opt out of communications at any time.
5. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to ensure the accuracy and quality of our content and programming, Community in Focus is not liable for errors, omissions, or any outcomes resulting from reliance on the information provided. Participation is voluntary and at the user’s discretion.
6. Ownership & Legal Entity
Community in Focus is a program developed and operated by Visual Outlet Media LLC, a media production company based in Atlanta, Georgia. All content, communications, and services offered through Community in Focus are managed by Visual Outlet Media LLC unless otherwise noted.
While we may collaborate with fiscal sponsors or nonprofit partners, Community in Focus is not currently a 501(c)(3) organization. All inquiries regarding contracts, payments, and legal matters should be directed to Visual Outlet Media LLC.
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or participation in our programs after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
